Boozhoo Eel Rivers,
I would like to take this opportunity to fill you in on our new
members, friends, and family. This was a good year for our
Tribe. There were three new members born this year.
Lindsey and Mason had Tucker on Jun. 29th and he
weighed 8lbs 6ozs. Joe and Rianna gave birth to Lila on
Oct.13th and she weighed 7lbs 5ozs. Jack and Jen brought
into this world, Jackson on Nov. 3rd and he weighed 7lbs
3ozs. Tammy Gamble, one of our Board of Directors, has a
new grand daughter her son Brady and Jessica had
Braelyn on Oct. 20th weighing in at 7lbs 8ozs. One of our
associate members, Margo Kirbyson's daughter Jennie
gave birth to a baby boy. Jaden was 7lbs. 4ozs. As I hear, all
are Well and Healthy!! Keep them babies coming!!
Starting Jan 1st 2009, all Tribal functions ie; Lognhouse,
Pow Wows, fund raisers, work weekends, meetings, and
drum events, will be documented for attendance. Please fill
out the roll attendance form during these events and
functions. This will aid me as the enrollment officer to
better keep track of attendance for enrollment
requirements and to aid our Tribe in the Federal
Recognition process. Enrollment requirements are as
follows, attend four Tribal related functions per year and
cast a vote at our annual council meeting held during
Summer Lognghouse. There are many ways to fill these
requirements and if you have any questions please don't
hesitate to call.
The dates for Winter Longhouse are Dec.19th through Dec.
21st and will be held at Mike Floyd's house. We will be
visiting Lil Charlie's Reserve land sometime on Sat.
afternoon. Carry in dishes, paper plates, drinks, toilet
paper, ect. all would be appreciated. Be sure to dress
warm if going to the reserve land. contact us for directions
and any questions. Hope to see you there!!
